The cross-fertilization between Puppetry and Industrial design does not take place in a linear continuum, nor its products have a unique destination. Both design and puppetry live of a perpetual motion between reality, perception, intention and action, as a consequence also joint artistic products born form their “marriage” continually move form a context to another, from the design industry to the scene to didactic activities, in a perhaps stellar pattern whose core are human beings: artistas and audience, in an intense reciprocal engagement.
The projects foresees 3 new international co-productions:
- “Circus”: based on the animation of objects from the omonymous series by the design firm Alessi, will be hosted for residency by the Italian partner who will coordinate the work of the puppet artists from SI and the designers from ES.
- “Things Dreaming Things”: based on parallels between objects and human experiences, will be hosted for residency by the Czech partner who will coordinate the work of the puppet artists from I and the designers from ES.
- “The Steadfast Tin Soldier”: based on the literary fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen about a toy who falls in love, it will be hosted for residency by the Slovenian partner who will coordinate the work of the puppet artists from CZ and the designers from E.
